Yes, another flashlight review.

I received an interesting flashlight from Nitesun, the model is called HEX 62. It has an hexagonal shape, very strong construction because is only one piece of metal.

The flashlight use a Cree XM-L2(U4) led with 950 lumens output on high mode witch will last you 1.2 hours an 35 hours on ultra low mode (6 lumens).

Operation: 4 brightness levels , SOS and strobe.

A tail switch for on and off , side switch for changing brightness levels.

And the best thing….it is usb rechargeable, uses a 18650 Li-ion battery (provided). I wish that all flashlights these days had usb slot for charging.

When you plug the usb cable in it you must press the tail swith to start charging. First, this was a disappointment for me and I didn’t understand why I must press the button, it seem like a useless thing but then i realized that this is a clever thing because you can use the light as an emergency light – automatic lighting turns on when power supply is suspended. Well done Nitesun!

Conclusions:

• strong construction
• very versatile, can be used in a variety of aplications: hiking, outdoor, cycling, etc
• easy to use
• usb rechargeable
• very good price for the amount of quality you get

The only minor con is that the light does not tail stand but this is not a major drawback.

 

I think for the price you can’t go wrong and it is hard to beat this very good light in the same money range.
