Nitesun HEX 62 flashlight review

Yes, another flashlight review.

I received an interesting flashlight from Nitesun, the model is called HEX 62. It has an hexagonal shape, very strong construction because is only one piece of metal.

The flashlight use a Cree XM-L2(U4) led with 950 lumens output on high mode witch will last you 1.2 hours an 35 hours on ultra low mode (6 lumens).

Operation: 4 brightness levels , SOS and strobe.

A tail switch for on and off , side switch for changing brightness levels.

And the best thing….it is usb rechargeable, uses a 18650 Li-ion battery (provided). I wish that all flashlights these days had usb slot for charging.

When you plug the usb cable in it you must press the tail swith to start charging. First, this was a disappointment for me and I didn’t understand why I must press the button, it seem like a useless thing but then i realized that this is a clever thing because you can use the light as an emergency light – automatic lighting turns on when power supply is suspended. Well done Nitesun!

  • strong construction
  • very versatile, can be used in a variety of aplications: hiking, outdoor, cycling, etc
  • easy to use
  • usb rechargeable
  • very good price for the amount of quality you get

The only minor con is that the light does not tail stand but this is not a major drawback.

I think for the price you can’t go wrong and it is hard to beat this very good light in the same money range.

Good job Nitesun !

Fenix TK25 R&B Review (romanian & english)

Are buton de on/off si buton separat de schimbare a modurilor.

– versatilitate
– autonomie buna

– nu sta in pozitie verticala asezata in coada
– as fi preferat o raza ceva mai lunga(are 225 metri)

In Romania o gasiti prin AdventureLight România ,

I received the Fenix TK25 R & B Version flashlight for Fenix TK25 R&B Version Review Campaign, their latest flashlight. After 2 weeks of use, these are my impressions:
– First of all, at the first press of the button you feel it’s Fenix. Those who have used Fenix flashlights or similar recognize the Fenix button push. It feels different from other brands, more determined.
– it is a tactical flashlight but can be easily used for any other activity. I used it for cycling and any outdoor activity. I did not felt limitations in use even if it’s built for a gun.
– construction is very good and very user friendly. It has on / off button and separate mode change button.
– the color of the light is very pleasant, it’s not very cold or very warm. The red and blue modes are pretty powerful and easy to access

– Solid construction
– comfortable light (white color) and the red and blue modes are powerful and can be used creatively in night photography
– easy to use
– „Strobe ready” button separately, can be easily used in self-defense situations
– Versatility
– Good autonomy

– does not tail stand
– I would have preferred a slightly longer range (225 meters)
